How to reduce Poshmark fees: the $15 cliff, the item-only base, and what cannot move
Poshmark’s US commission is a flat $2.95 on any sale under $15 and 20% of the sale price at $15 and above, charged on the item only, with payment processing included. There is no “turn off commission” path: no store tier, volume ladder or subscription lowers the rate. What you control is which rule a sale lands in.
Poshmark fee data checked 2026-10-26 in the Feebrief fee data set against Poshmark’s Fee Policy. Rates shown are for US sellers on poshmark.com in USD; Canada uses different thresholds and is not covered here.

Scope: this page covers only what Poshmark publishes: the two commission rules, what the commission is charged on, bundles and offers. Short answer: the rate does not move, the price band does
Poshmark US charges $2.95 flat under $15 and 20% at $15 and above (Poshmark Fee Policy). Payment processing is inside the commission, and listing and basic selling cost $0. Nothing in the published schedule lowers it. The levers are where you price relative to $15 and whether low-priced items go out as one bundle or several orders.
At $14.99 you keep $12.04. At $15.00 you keep $12.00. Net catches up at $15.05.
For contrast, how to reduce eBay seller fees covers a Store break-even and an insertion allotment that Poshmark publishes neither of, and how to reduce Etsy fees covers a shop-level sales threshold rather than a per-sale price threshold.
Poshmark’s US fee schedule in one table (as of Oct 2026)

Source: Poshmark Fee Policy, compiled in the Feebrief fee data set 2026-10-26; confirm on the live page. Feebrief’s fee data notes that Poshmark briefly tested a different structure in October 2024 and reverted. If a page or video shows 5.99% plus a fixed fee, it is describing that test, not the current schedule. Whether sales tax ever enters the base in edge cases is not modeled here; check the Fee Policy.
Your baseline: $15, $50, $100 and $500 sales at 20%
| Sale price | Rule | Commission | Seller keeps |
|---|---|---|---|
| $15.00 | 20% | $3.00 | $12.00 |
| $50.00 | 20% | $10.00 | $40.00 |
| $100.00 | 20% | $20.00 | $80.00 |
| $500.00 | 20% | $100.00 | $400.00 |
To net a target at 20%, list at the net divided by 0.8: $25.00 keeps $20.00, $37.50 keeps $30.00, $62.50 keeps $50.00. Under $15, the net is the price minus $2.95.
Lever 1: the $15 cliff, and why $14.99 nets more than $15.00
The flat fee is chosen from the sale price. At $14.99 the commission is $2.95; at $15.00 it is $3.00, so net falls by four cents. Net catches up at $15.05, which makes $15.00 to $15.04 the only band that pays you less than $14.99.
| Sale price | Rule | Commission | Effective rate | Seller keeps | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $12.00 | flat $2.95 | $2.95 | 24.58% | $9.05 | flat fee |
| $14.99 | flat $2.95 | $2.95 | 19.68% | $12.04 | flat fee; lowest effective rate on the schedule |
| $15.00 | 20% | $3.00 | 20.00% | $12.00 | net falls $0.04 for a $0.01 price rise |
| $15.04 | 20% | $3.01 | 20.00% | $12.03 | still below $14.99 net |
| $15.05 | 20% | $3.01 | 20.00% | $12.04 | net matches $14.99 |
| $16.00 | 20% | $3.20 | 20.00% | $12.80 |
The whole cliff is worth four cents. Knowing where it is helps you price; shaving every listing to $14.99 does not. Rows are our arithmetic from the two published rules, with commission rounded half-up to the cent per order; Poshmark’s live rounding may differ by a cent. See how Feebrief estimates seller fees.
Under $15 the flat fee is a rising percentage
| Sale price | Commission | Effective rate | Seller keeps |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5.00 | $2.95 | 59.00% | $2.05 |
| $8.00 | $2.95 | 36.88% | $5.05 |
| $10.00 | $2.95 | 29.50% | $7.05 |
| $12.00 | $2.95 | 24.58% | $9.05 |
| $14.75 | $2.95 | 20.00% | $11.80 |
| $14.99 | $2.95 | 19.68% | $12.04 |
The flat fee undercuts 20% only between $14.75 and $14.99. Below $14.75 it is a higher rate than 20%, and the cheaper the item, the higher it goes: $2.95 on a $5 item is 59%.
Lever 2: bundles move low-priced items out of the flat-fee rule
Three $6 items sold one at a time pay $8.85 in commission on $18 of sales. The same three items in one $18 bundle pay $3.60. Bundling changes nothing for items already at $15 or more.
| Scenario | Orders | Commission | Total sales | Seller keeps | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Three $6 items sold separately | 3 | 3 × $2.95 = $8.85 | $18.00 | $9.15 | 49.17% |
| Same three items in one $18 bundle | 1 | 20% × $18 = $3.60 | $18.00 | $14.40 | 20.00% |
| Two $10 items sold separately | 2 | 2 × $2.95 = $5.90 | $20.00 | $14.10 | 29.50% |
| Same two items in one $20 bundle | 1 | $4.00 | $20.00 | $16.00 | 20.00% |
| Two $40 items, separately or bundled | 2 or 1 | $16.00 either way | $80.00 | $64.00 | 20.00% |
Bundle rows assume the bundle is charged as one order on its order price, as the commission is described; confirm on the Poshmark Fee Policy. A seller-set bundle discount lowers the order price and therefore the commission base: a hypothetical 10% discount makes the $18 bundle $16.20, the commission $3.24 and the net $12.96, so a $1.80 price cut costs $1.44 of net. No default bundle discount is asserted. Whether a buyer accepts a bundle is a demand question this page does not answer. Label prices are not stated.

Lever 3: shipping is outside the commission base, and what that is worth
Feebrief’s fee data records buyer-paid shipping as outside the commission base (Poshmark Fee Policy). A $50 item pays $10.00 at any label price, and raising the shipping charge never raises the commission.
| Order | Poshmark commission base | Poshmark commission | eBay most categories, no Store |
|---|---|---|---|
| $50 item, buyer pays the label at any price | $50.00 | $10.00 | - |
| $50 item + $8 buyer-paid shipping, same order on eBay | - | - | base $58.00, fee $8.29 |
Shipping outside the base does not mean Poshmark costs less: on this order the Poshmark commission is $10.00 and the eBay fee is $8.29 in most categories with no Store. See eBay vs Poshmark fees and eBay seller fees (13.6% on item plus shipping) for the shipping-inclusive side.
A seller-paid shipping discount is a margin choice, not a fee cut
If you fund a shipping discount, the commission is still 20% of the item price; the discount comes out of your earnings. This page states no discount amounts. Check the Fee Policy and Poshmark’s seller guide for current options.
Offers and counters: know which rule the accepted price lands in
On an $18 listing, an accepted offer under $15 drops the sale into the flat-fee rule:
| Accepted price | Rule | Commission | Seller keeps |
|---|---|---|---|
| $14.00 (buyer offer accepted) | flat $2.95 | $2.95 | $11.05 |
| $15.05 (counter) | 20% | $3.01 | $12.04 |
| $16.00 (counter) | 20% | $3.20 | $12.80 |
| $18.00 (full price) | 20% | $3.60 | $14.40 |
What you cannot reduce: the 20%, the $2.95, and there is no processing line to shop
- No store tier, volume ladder or subscription that lowers the rate is on the Fee Policy.
- No separate processing fee: it is included in the commission.
- No listing fee to avoid: listing and basic selling are $0.
- US only: Canada uses different thresholds and is not covered; no Canadian figures are published here.
For a live example of a platform where volume lowers the rate, which Poshmark does not publish, see Poshmark vs Whatnot fees.

Poshmark fees FAQ
Does Poshmark take 20% of the shipping too?
No. The commission is charged on the sale price of the item: a flat $2.95 under $15 or 20% at $15 and above. The buyer pays the shipping label and that amount is not in the commission base in Feebrief’s fee data, so a higher shipping charge never raises your fee. It also does not make Poshmark cheaper than a platform that charges on item plus shipping: a $50 item pays $10.00 on Poshmark, while the same item with $8 buyer-paid shipping on eBay pays about $8.29 in most categories with no Store. Confirm the wording on Poshmark’s Fee Policy.
Should I list at $14.99 or $15.00?
At $14.99 the fee is $2.95 and you keep $12.04. At $15.00 the fee is $3.00 and you keep $12.00, four cents less. Your net catches up at $15.05 and rises from there, so the only price band that pays you less than $14.99 is $15.00 to $15.04. Below $14.75 the flat fee is a higher rate than 20%, so the cheaper the item, the harder the $2.95 bites.
Does Poshmark lower its commission for high-volume sellers or with a subscription?
Not on the published Fee Policy. The US schedule is a flat $2.95 under $15 and 20% at $15 and above for every seller, with payment processing included and no listing or monthly fee. There is no store tier, volume ladder or discount that changes the rate. The levers are where you price relative to $15 and whether low-priced items go out as one bundle or several orders.
