Feebrief is a free, independent calculator for people who resell online. Enter a sale price once and it estimates seller fees and take-home pay across eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot, and Vinted, so you can compare where an item leaves you the most before you list it. There are platform pages, side-by-side comparison pages (for example eBay vs Poshmark), and a methodology page explaining how the numbers are built.
Feebrief is built and maintained by Niceday, a solo indie developer. There is no company or team behind it—one person writes the code, keeps the fee data up to date, and answers email.
Every marketplace publishes its fees differently: some charge a percentage of the item price, some include shipping in the fee base, some add a fixed per-order fee or a separate payment processing fee, and the rules change over time. Working out what you would actually keep on each platform usually means opening several help pages and doing the math by hand. Feebrief puts those published schedules in one place and does the arithmetic side by side.
Fee rates come from each marketplace’s official, publicly available fee pages and are stored in a single schedule file, fees.json, with a last-reviewed date. The schedules are reviewed weekly, and the last-reviewed and next-check dates are shown on the calculator pages.
The estimates use simplified US seller-side schedules and leave out things like promoted listings, store subscriptions, and most promotions. The methodology page lists what is included and excluded and links to every official source. If you spot a fee that has changed, please let me know with a link to the source.
Feebrief is free to use. Some links to crosslisting tools—Vendoo (through the Awin network), Crosslist, and PrimeLister—are affiliate links: if you sign up through one, Feebrief may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are labeled on the page and marked rel="sponsored".
Feebrief does not show ads today. It may show ads (for example through Google AdSense) in the future; if that happens, the Privacy Policy will describe it.
Feebrief is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or paid by eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot, Vinted, or any other marketplace. Affiliate partners have no say in the fee data or in which platform comes out ahead in an estimate—the calculator simply applies the published fees to the price you enter.
