Grailed seller fees (US): 6% under $120 or 9%, plus 3.49% + $0.49 processing
Grailed’s seller cost is two separate lines: a commission that steps from 6% to 9% at a $120 sale price, and a payment processing fee charged on the whole transaction. This guide shows what each is charged on, where the $120 line falls and what a $100 sale leaves you.
Grailed fee data checked against the Grailed Support fees article (updated ), the payment processing article (updated ) and the Grailed Terms. Figures are for US sellers paid through Stripe. United States, USD.

Short answer: 6% or 9% commission, plus a separate processing fee
For sales on or after 2026-05-20, Grailed’s fees page lists commission at 6% (minimum $1.99) when the sale price is under $120 and 9% when it is $120 or more. Payment processing is a second, separate line: 3.49% + $0.49 for a US seller onboarded with Stripe, charged on the total transaction including shipping and tax when applicable. Listing is free.
Sell a $100 item with a Grailed Label and you pay $6.00 commission plus $3.98 processing, $9.98 in all, keeping $90.02 before the label cost.

Sources: Grailed Support: What are the fees? (updated 2026-05-13; the 6% tier applies to sales on or after 2026-05-20), Grailed Support: payment processing fee (updated 2025-03-07) and the Grailed Terms, all checked 2026-11-01. Grailed says the same commission schedule applies to domestic and international transactions and that promotional rates may apply; none are modeled here.
The $120 line: a cliff, not a bracket
On Grailed’s schedule the rate is chosen by the sale price and then applied to the whole sale, not just the part above $120. One cent of price therefore moves commission by $3.60. Net figures below are before the label cost, with a Grailed Label, a Stripe-onboarded US seller and no tax.
| Sale price | Commission tier | Commission | Processing | Fees | Net before label |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $119.99 | 6% | $7.20 | $4.68 | $11.88 | $108.11 |
| $120.00 | 9% | $10.80 | $4.68 | $15.48 | $104.52 |
| $124.10 | 9% | $11.17 | $4.82 | $15.99 | $108.11 |
On these assumptions a sale at $120.00 nets less than one at $119.99, and the 9% tier does not catch up until about $124.10. This illustrates how the cliff works; it is not a pricing recommendation, because offers, bundles and promotional rates are not modeled.
What the commission is charged on: Grailed Label changes the base
Per Grailed’s fees page, the sale price used for commission is the listing price alone if you ship with a Grailed Label, and the listing price plus buyer-charged shipping if you do not. The larger figure also decides which tier you land in. Processing applies to shipping either way. Compare Depop seller fees and take-home estimator for a platform with a processing-style cost and no price cliff.
| Shipping method | Sale price for commission | Tier | Commission |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grailed Label | $110.00 (listing price only) | 6% | $6.60 |
| Own shipping, buyer charged $15 | $125.00 (listing + shipping) | 9% | $11.25 |
That is $4.65 more commission on one sale. Confirm the base wording on the live fees page; it is the line most worth re-reading before you pick a shipping method.
Worked example: $100 item, Grailed Label, US seller onboarded with Stripe
Examples assume a US seller onboarded with Stripe, a domestic buyer, a Grailed Label so commission is charged on the listing price only, no sales tax unless marked hypothetical, no offers or bundle discounts, no promotional commission rate, and seller net equal to the sale price minus commission and processing. Amounts are rounded half-up; live payouts may differ by a cent. The Grailed Label cost is shown as a separate deduction rather than a dollar figure. See how Feebrief estimates seller fees.
| Line | Charged on | Rate | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sale price for commission | $100.00 listing price (Label used, shipping excluded) | - | $100.00 |
| Commission (under-$120 tier) | $100.00 | 6%, minimum $1.99 | $6.00 (above the $1.99 floor) |
| Payment processing | $100.00 total transaction (no tax, no buyer-paid shipping modeled) | 3.49% + $0.49 | $3.49 + $0.49 = $3.98 |
| Fees on this sale (excluding label) | $9.98 | ||
| Seller net before Grailed Label cost | $90.02 | ||
| Grailed Label | Deducted from payout per the Terms | Carrier quote | Not publicly available as a fixed dollar; a separate line |
Selling a $100 item on Grailed with a Grailed Label, as a US seller onboarded with Stripe and with no sales tax, costs $6.00 in commission at the under-$120 rate of 6% and $3.98 in payment processing at 3.49% + $0.49, a total of $9.98, leaving $90.02 before the label cost is deducted. That is 9.98% of the price. List the same item at $150 and the commission rate steps to 9% on the whole price.
Same assumptions at $150 (9% tier)
| Line | Charged on | Rate | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Commission ($120+ tier) | $150.00 | 9% | $13.50 |
| Payment processing | $150.00 | 3.49% + $0.49 | $5.235 + $0.49 = $5.725, rounded to $5.73 |
| Fees on this sale (excluding label) | $19.23 | ||
| Seller net before Grailed Label cost | $130.77 |
Fees are 12.8% of the $150 price against 9.98% on the $100 sale. The processing amount sits on a half-cent ($5.725), so Grailed’s own rounding may show $5.72 or $5.73 on a real payout.
Small sales: the $1.99 minimum
The $1.99 floor binds when 6% of the price is below $1.99, which is any sale under about $33.17. At $20.00 the commission is $1.99 (9.95% of the price), processing is $0.698 + $0.49 = $1.19, fees are $3.18 and net before label is $16.82, an effective rate of about 15.9%.
Grailed payment processing rates by onboarding status and region
Processing is assessed on the total transaction amount, including shipping and tax when applicable. The highlighted row is the one used in every example here. Per the Grailed help article (updated 2025-03-07):
| Situation | Processing rate |
|---|---|
| US domestic, Stripe-onboarded (used in examples) | 3.49% + $0.49 |
| US domestic, Stripe-eligible but not onboarded | 3.49% + $0.99 |
| International payment, Stripe-onboarded | 4.99% + $0.49 |
| International payment, not onboarded (Stripe country) | 5.49% + $0.99 |
| Seller not in a Stripe-eligible country | 4.99% + $0.49 (default) |
A US seller who has not onboarded pays $0.50 more per sale at the same percentage: on the $100 example that is $4.48 processing, $10.48 in fees and $89.52 before label. If a buyer also paid a hypothetical $8.00 in sales tax, commission would stay $6.00 (tax is excluded from it) while processing would be 3.49% of $108 plus $0.49, or $4.26, about $0.28 more. State tax rates are not asserted.
One Grailed help page has said 9% across the board
Grailed’s help article for international sellers read “9% commission across the board” when we checked it on 2026-11-01. The dedicated fees page, updated 2026-05-13, shows the 6% under-$120 tier for sales on or after 2026-05-20, so this page follows the fees page. Grailed may correct the older article at any time, and older third-party pages that quote a flat 9% are out of step with the fees page too.
Informational page: not a Feebrief calculator
Feebrief’s interactive fee comparer currently covers eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Vinted and Whatnot only. Grailed is not in that data set, so the figures on this page are static worked examples from Grailed’s published help and Terms pages, not a live Feebrief calculator. Grailed fees FAQ
Is Grailed’s commission 6% or 9%?
Both, depending on the sale price. For sales on or after 2026-05-20, Grailed’s fees page lists 6% with a $1.99 minimum when the sale price is under $120 and 9% when it is $120 or more. By the same schedule the rate applies to the whole sale, so a $119.99 sale pays $7.20 and a $120.00 sale pays $10.80. One older Grailed help page for international sellers has said 9% across the board; the dedicated fees page, updated 2026-05-13, is the schedule this page follows. Confirm on the live Grailed page before pricing.
Does Grailed charge commission on shipping?
It depends on the label. If you ship with a Grailed Label, commission is charged on the listing price only. If you use your own shipping and charge the buyer for it, commission is charged on listing price plus that shipping amount, and the combined figure is also what decides whether you are in the 6% or 9% tier. A $110 item with $15 buyer-charged shipping is a $125 sale for commission without a Label (9%, $11.25) and a $110 sale with a Label (6%, $6.60). Payment processing applies to shipping and tax in both cases. Confirm the base wording on the live Grailed fees page.
Why is the fee on my Grailed payout more than 6% or 9%?
Because payment processing is a separate line. A US seller onboarded with Stripe pays 3.49% + $0.49 on the total transaction, including shipping and tax, on top of the commission. On a $100 Label sale with no tax that is $6.00 commission plus $3.98 processing, or $9.98 in total, which is 9.98% of the price. On a $20 sale the $1.99 commission minimum and the $0.49 fixed processing fee push the effective rate to about 15.9%. The Grailed Label cost is deducted after that.
